Dyslexia Sorted

Terms

Booking, paying and cancelling.

Booking

Lessons are booked as a regular weekly slot, agreed by email. Tutoring starts after the initial teaching assessment.

The initial assessment

The initial teaching assessment tells Sophie how to teach your child. It is not a diagnosis of dyslexia, and it cannot be used to apply for exam access arrangements.

Fees

Current prices are on the fees page.

Paying

Payment is by bank transfer, in advance. The initial assessment is paid when it is booked, and lessons are invoiced at the start of each month, with payment due before the first lesson of that month.

Cancelling a lesson

Please give at least 24 hours' notice. Lessons cancelled with less notice are charged in full. If your child is ill, get in touch as soon as you can, and Sophie will decide each case individually.

If Sophie has to cancel

She will offer you another time, or the lesson is not charged.

Online lessons

Online lessons are not recorded.

Ending lessons

The minimum commitment is six lessons after the initial assessment. After that, you can stop lessons at any time by giving two lessons' notice.
